Conclusion

The one benefit of my life is that I make a lot of money. The downside is that I end up alienated from my fellow human beings unless I go out of my way to do so, meaning I’m constantly tempted to do suboptimal things with my money and resources. For example, today I spent $150 trying to impress a cute Indian girl who works at my building, by sending myself an edible arrangements as my own secret admirer. I’d like to take on work so I don’t forget that there’s multiple holocausts going on.

This is my roommate, Amber! We’re not dating, and as stated in the subtitle we’re not having sex. On top of that, we haven’t had any arguments. Both of us agree that things are, for the most part, healthy and peaceful. Still, we go to couple’s therapy once a month.

To Catch Things Ahead Of Time

A couple’s therapist isn't as much about dating as they are about the general goal of helping two people coexist.

It's a preemptive measure. Most people wait until their relationship has deteriorated beyond repair before seeking help, like waiting until your engine seizes completely before even thinking about an oil change. By then, there's so much resentment and hurt feelings built up that therapy becomes more about damage control than actual growth.

By going monthly even when things are good, we catch minor irritations before they fester into genuine resentments. That comment about dishes in the sink doesn't stay buried for six months until it explodes into "YOU NEVER RESPECT MY SPACE!" Instead, it gets addressed immediately, dissected professionally, and resolved before either of us even realizes it was becoming an issue.

It's a lot easier to prevent a bad thing than it is to reverse it, and the further along you are in the deterioration of a relationship, the more difficult it is to say, “We should bring in a third party to fix this.”

Because I have the money

Why do some of you pay mechanics to do your oil changes, when there are plenty of YouTube tutorials online? Why do many of us sometimes go out to restaurants when we could make the same meals at home? It’s the same reason why I hire a therapist to run our monthly roommate meetings: because we don’t want to do it ourselves.

Being in a one-hour meeting once a month to get any debts, lingering concerns, or debates settled is hard enough. Having to run it is a whole other monster.

For $325 USD a month, I sit in a nice couch in a room with my roommate, across from our therapist who is paid to do all that mentally draining work of prompting everyone for their feelings, concerns, reports in an equitable manner. I don’t have to worry about whether or not I’m giving enough space for my roommate to talk, because our therapist does the worrying for me!

Am I ignoring Amber’s preferences? The trained therapist would tell me if I was.

Am I creating a welcome space for Amber to speak her mind? Well, that’s the trained therapist’s job.

Is there any way I can communicate better? Therapist.

To separate me from the animals

In the last four years I've been through a lot of drama:

1. I've been disowned by my parents for being transgender

2. I’ve left a rape cult

3. I've been threatened with a libel lawsuit for calling them a rape cult

4. I’ve been physically assaulted by someone from the rape cult

5. I've been blackmailed by someone else from the rape cult

6. I‘ve waged a flame war with two people who have the same politics as me

7. I’ve admitted, in front of my old K-12 school district board, to breaking California state law by recording my old high school teacher dropping racial slurs

8. I’ve started a company that allows people to legally murder Trump supporters

Even if you’re willing to assume that I’m in the right on all of these stories, you might wonder about my sanity given that I keep ending up in these situations.

Insanity is on a spectrum: you can deviate from societal norms in a good way, a bad way, or somewhere in between.

There's a good chance that you've met at least one social deviant who was extremely good at lying to themselves and to others, crafting self-serving narratives that leave out crucial details - details that would otherwise cause everyone to realize that who the real bad guy was. Like Humpbert Humpbert in Lolita, a book I have never read, they may even fool themselves into thinking that they aren’t the abuser in the relationship. When the victim, who may be unable to leave for various reasons, raises and expresses concerns, the abuser’s survival instinct can kick in and shut down the conversation to maintain the happy illusion of a healthy relationship.

If only someone who… who specialized in identifying these toxic patterns… if only they were allowed to periodically inspect a relationship, interviewing a couple for true equanimity.

Going out of my way to get one of those people in my life sounded expensive and time-consuming. But I asked myself what could elevate me away from the monsters and jerks that I've met. In the end, I concluded that one good way would be to actively seek self-accountability, to go out of my way and have an impartial, experienced third party evaluate my conduct in my personal relationships.

Because she's a keeper

If I had to look for a roommate and randomly picked an applicant, I would probably have to walk on eggshells around them because the median USian sucks and I'm a transgender Asian-American.

It's easy to find a roommate who can say, “I’m not racist, and I’m not homophobic. I like to keep an open mind!” But like gender and sanity, discrimination is a spectrum, and that someone doesn't have to be a virulent bigot to make life harder for marginalized groups.

A classic example is women’s nipples: recently, my HR lady apologetically told me that I had to start wearing a bra to work because at least one dude in the office complained about my nipples poking through my shirt. I didn't protest, because I knew that fighting this wasn't worth the effort. I *could* have argued that the men’s nipples were visibly protruding through their shirts *all the time*, and that they weren't getting the same flak. But the HR lady and I both knew that we didn't have the political capital needed to fix this discrimination:

• We'd have to carefully tailor our words to not trigger the fragility of the men in the office, interrupting our own cases with the obligatory, “I'm not saying you hate women, I’d trust you around my daughter, and I know you're fundamentally good person…”

• If we manage to convince them we're right, the men would go “Listen, I'm on your side, but *our* bosses wouldn't understand your case” and then we'd have to convince the men in the office to give us a shot at making a case to *their bosses*, and then-

• There's like, six more layers of management that we'd have to repeat this with, ad-nauseum.

I can stand to wear a bra for eight hours a day and work in an office around men who aren't ready to acknowledge this cognitive dissonance. I can put up with going by the feminine “Tammy” instead of the non-binary “Standard.”

Hell, I even speak English *slightly* imperfectly around them because I know that using *perfect* English as an Asian-American can be jarring and unexpected enough to make many Whites uncomfortable.

And for the last year, I've been growing a bonsai tree at work to emulate the aura of the wise competent Miyagi from Karate Kid, a movie that everyone in the office has watched. Since then, I stopped getting frequent vague complaints about my lack of “professionalism” at work and started getting praised for being a team player.

But if I had to do all of this at *home* to keep the peace, I'd be miserable. This is why I'm happy to spend this effort to keep a healthy relationship with Amber: when I get home, I don't have to whitespeak.

It would be hypocritical if I wasn’t transparent and upfront about my own sins, on an essay where i'm critiquing people for the same thing, especially since my sins are worse:

From ages 16 to 19, I was a sexual and emotional abuser in a relationship with someone two years younger than me. I groomed them, I pressured them into sex, I raped them, and I manipulated them into staying in a relationship with me. I used cult tactics like telling them they were better than everyone else. I unequivocally and undeniably committed felonies. The only reason why I am not in prison is because my former partner does not wish to press charges, and the only reason why I am not naming my victim is because they do not wish to be named.

I actively committed harm and abuse. The leadership of the New Liberals didn't. They just discovered a separate abuser within their community and didn't say anything.

The Story

Back when Jeremiah Johnson and Colin Mortimer were just known as the head moderators of /r/neoliberal, there was a popular discord that turned out to be run by a sexual predator of children. That discord was mentioned frequently on the subreddit and many users assumed that the server was official in some capacity, referring to it as “the neoliberal discord.”

It was 2019, I was 19, it was my second year of enjoying the ego boost from being the fifth moderator ever added to the forum. So I asked Jeremiah if I could make a statement on the subreddit acknowledging our proximity to the guy (or lack thereof) and explaining what we could do in the future to prevent this sort of thing. The statement would have just amounted to “This user got arrested. He was never a moderator, but he did run a discord that was popular among our users. He has been banned, and to our knowledge he has not committed any harm unto any users of this community. Please reach out to the authorities if you have been harmed by this user.”

Jeremiah said no, explaining that it would just make us look bad. After all, we didn’t do anything wrong - why should we be upfront about something that happened within our community? It would just give more ammunition to our enemies over at the leftist subreddits.

Today

I’m no longer affiliated with them in any major capacity. My admin privileges on their slack have long been revoked, and I check the Denver slack once a month. I still recommend that my friends go to events hosted by Jeremiah’s and Colin’s organization. But if they aren’t familiar with what the CNL is, I give them a heads-up:

“I’m not saying that they’re sexual predators - they haven’t given me any reason to think that they are. But if there is a history of misconduct within the organization, you’re not going to learn about it from them.”

They go “Why?” and I explain the whole thing all over again.

“I don’t know what this says about them, because the guy wasn’t even a moderator for the subreddit, he just ran a well-known server that was mentioned a lot there.”

I don’t know if this makes them any less likely to attend, but I owe them the information regardless. I would want to know, so I could adjust my guard accordingly.

Wrap

In elementary school, I was sexually molested by my kindergarten teacher, Kevin Kirby, who was later arrested for making death threats to other kindergarten teachers. He had taught at my elementary school for years before I showed up, so it’s hard to believe that no other teacher had heard stories about him screaming, yelling, and physically flicking the ears of his students. Combine this with the fact that the school district leadership actively punished a principal for calling the police on Kevin Kirby, I figured that the unspoken rule was for teachers to keep to themselves. Maybe the culture was so extreme that the rules were enforced by other teachers through the threat of ostracization, and not just by Gary Smuts.

This bothered me, because the costs of speaking up would have been massively outweighed by the benefits of preventing trauma to minors. The worst case for the adult would have been termination, but there’s more than one career in the world.

I don’t want to let down my child self more than I already have, so I’d rather err on the side of oversharing information.

Yesterday, at approximately 12:30 AM (in the morning!), my roommate Nathanael Reuben Magby woke me up by violently banging and rattling my locked bedroom door. It was locked, of course, because they had entered my room without my permission multiple times before.

I assumed that they had some sort of emergency so I opened it, whereupon they started talking about something non-urgent: the lease agreement. So I decided to close my door and go back to sleep, but they physically stopped me from doing so, pushing and shoving the door backwards and knocking me off-balance. It was terrifying, to say the least. This sort of thing hadn’t happened to me since childhood! But I used what little consciousness I had to grab my phone, and started recording just in case their violence escalated.

After the ordeal was over, I reached out to my friends to let them know what happened. I sent them the recording I had, and I told them “If anything happens to me in the next few weeks, call the cops on Nathanael Magby from Denver, Colorado.” This made me safer, knowing that if they attempted to escalate things, there was a clear record of the context so they wouldn’t be able to lie and claim self-defense.

With my fear of physical danger addressed, I was still in a state of frustration and anxiety, so I spoke to another group of friends - a signal groupchat of racially and ideologically diverse persons.

This wasn’t urgent at all, it could’ve been an email or a text. But they refuse to communicate in any other format besides in-person and face-to-face. And I don’t want to talk face-to-face because they constantly cut me off, interrupt me, and railroad me.

My friends validated my frustration, and reassured me that I wasn’t the one being unreasonable.

I hate dealing with those kinds of people. They are incapable of reason, their primary mode of communication is nonconsentual emotional vectors of guilt and threat. They call it “connection” and “being real”.

“Take it to email” is a good counter and tell. If they can’t or it upsets them, that’s proof that they can’t be chill, cool, reasonable, and word oriented.

Safety Measures

In hindsight, it was a poor decision to become roommates with someone who refused to leave a rape cult. Their tactics of making people feel scared, isolated, threatened, and insignificant affected me for a long time, but now I’m fortunate enough to have people who respect me as a human being. As a result, I’m here right now, publicly talking about the last steps of separating from the cult instead of letting it devour me from the inside.

My twitter mutuals were there to validate the sheer ridiculousness of the situation, with some chipping in with their own stories of toxic roommates who would bang and slam on their bedroom door in the middle of the night.

My real-estate aunt was there to walk me through the legal steps I could take to protect myself, like

1. Your roommate is breaking the lease and basically putting all the responsibility on you to find a replacement. Keep a record of all the effort you spend to find a replacement roommate, and take them to small-claims when they’re out so you can get reimbursed for all this trouble.

2. Tell the corporate landlord and inform them of the situation and how they’re refusing to communicate over email.

But there was still something missing.

Flashback, June 2022

The second time I ever met Nathanael Magby, I stopped by their basement apartment in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood to kill some time before I went off to meetup hosted by Matt Yglesias. As I was typing away at my surface pro in the kitchen, Nathanael told me that they were incredibly horny and asked if they could start masturbating in front of me.

To be clear, I consented in the same way that a sex worker consents to being paid for sex - if I didn’t need a place to stay for the night and instead had enough energy to drive back up to Windsor, I would’ve told them, “no.” And to be clear, they didn’t technically do anything illegal - they didn’t know that they would lash out in subconscious, passive-aggressive ways if I denied them the sexual pleasure of masturbating in front of me.

It was hard for them to make out their own tiny flashes of anger at hints of rejection, to question their own shame at being attracted to a woman with a penis, or the frustration at having to settle for one of them until a cis one comes along. But I could sense their underlying resentment, and I chose to go along with them because I was just too exhausted and lonely to do anything else. More importantly: I didn’t want to spend the $150 on a hotel room from getting booted.

So they went ahead and started masturbating in the kitchen.

Back To Sexual Healing

Yesterday, I was still missing something. Logically speaking, I was better, safer, and validated. But I still needed something to resolve my feelings of slight violation by Nathanael Magby - I needed a clearly-consentual, sexual experience, with enthusiasm on both sides that would serve as a psychological response to my history with Nathanael.

So, I politely asked a friend on Twitter for feet pics - someone who had already sexted us before and already knew from previous conversations.

You see, one of my bigger anxieties is that I will become the people who traumatize me. By trying to engage with someone in an environment where consent can freely be denied (over the Internet, with someone thousands of miles away), I established sort of a mental monument to strong consent, a response to Nathanael Magby’s mild disrespect for human boundaries.

Although, I can’t really use my right hand for a few days because that door scuffle thing kind of sprained my wrist.

Introduction

In the same way that it's probably bad to threaten Matt Yglesias with violence, it would be wise for us to overlook Krishan Patel’s shortcomings as a bigot who mocks people’s mental illness: Matt Yglesias may be a bit too chummy with problematic people like Jesse Signal, but he also wrote One Billion Americans which is a pretty solid book that promotes more immigration. On that same theme, Krishan Patel has a deep-seated drive to dehumanize people he does not understand - but only if it doesn't contradict his strong desire to adhere to his party line. So, as long as we convince his party that certain groups deserve respect, we should be safe from the man.

Koreatown, Los Angeles, 2021-ish

When I first met him in person at a New Liberals meetup, I introduced myself as Standard.

Krishan: Standard! What kind of name is that?

Me: Oh, it's a long story. Basically I have DID and this was the only name my personalities could agree on.

Krishan made it clear that he was skeptical about the existence of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), formerly called Multiple Personality Disorder. Of course, I’d already had some experience with winning people over on this, and I knew Krishan in particular could be won over by some well-placed appeals to authority. So, I ignored his snide, condescending remarks about being brain-poisoned by TikTok, and cheerfully rebutted-

Me: What? Come on, the DSM-V says it’s real.

But I’d already known that it wouldn't be the end of the conversation, because when people say, “DID isn't real,” they usually mean something like "You're weird, and I don't like that.”

That sentiment became the unstated theme of our short, challenging dialogue, reflected in the ever-growing disgust on Krishan’s face.

I took this all in stride with a smile, because:

1. I knew that plenty of liberals, even the Bernie voters, were skeptical and hostile towards the idea

2. I already knew how to respond

Once you've had one conversation with a skeptic, you've had them all. It quickly becomes mechanical, dispassionate, and routine. Pluralphobia uses a lot of the same arguments as transphobia, so all I had to do was remember the rebuttals for transphobia, and slightly tweak them! So I turned on my Whitespeak-

Krishan: You function too well, you're too smart to have it! I've seen your tweets.

Me: Yeah, it took a long time for us to work out a way to coexist peacefully - you should've seen me in childhood.

Krishan: Oh, so it’s just a coincidence that you have it just when it was getting popular on TikTok?

Me: Well, I saw it getting more accepted so I figured it was safe to come out of the closet.

Krishan: This is way too rare for you to just have it! What are the odds?

Me: Have you ever heard of Bayes’ Theorem?

Once he ran out of lines, he ordered an Uber to attend a comedy set by Sarah Silverman. But before he left the New Liberals meetup, he shook my hand seven times—one for each personality that was in my mind at the time. 

I originally took that as a socially awkward but good-hearted attempt to say, "I don’t fully understand it, but I don’t have to in order to support you and believe you.” Of course, that was a mistake.

June 19, 2024

Even setting aside the remorseless misgendering from Krishan, it really hurt to see our USC graduate publicly mock and bully me for me for my condition.

Of course, enough time had passed for Krishan to forget that he once denied my DID on the basis of my high functioning. This allowed him to blissfully, and effortlessly flip to using my condition to support the case for my retardation.

And from what he wrote, it seems like he never intended to communicate respect when he shook my hand multiple times. Instead, it was just subtle mockery that he kept in his back pocket until he had the chance to publicize it.

The Soldier You See

Back at the meeting in 2021, the then-head of the Los Angeles chapter and I were talking about immigration policy, and we eventually came to open borders.

Krishan, to put it lightly, was against the whole "stupid idea." 

Me: But the case—

Krishan: It’s never going to pass!

Head: Aside from feasibility, there's a pretty strong—

Krishan: Nope you're wrong, I don’t care.

I chalked his abrasiveness up to some autism that was rooted in good-faith, and didn't resent him for it. People were and still are forgiving of my forgetfulness because of my DID, and as a person on the autism spectrum, I could relate to coming off as more mean as intended. “Maybe he,” I thought, “was just trying to say that he only wanted to talk about feasible stuff.” 

I considered Krishan to be neurodivergent but fundamentally kind for all these years in spite of all the red flags. Like when he referred to furries as "degenerates" and strongly implied they were subhuman scum, and still continued to take anti-furry jabs at various people even after “apologizing.* Or when he defended himself with the classic, “I'm friends with one of them!” line. When he espoused strong anti- japanese porn views, I foolishly thought he was sensible enough to separate his disgust response from his ethical stances. 

Other doubts did start creeping in, of course. For one thing, he never seemed to express any opinions that his immediate circle would consider controversial. Most people have opinions all over the political spectrum that average out to some point on the left or right, but Krishan’s opinions seemed carefully tuned, crafted, and censored to appeal to a particular place on the line: the center-left.

So a question began to formulate in the back of my mind: “Is he just going along with whatever his friends think? Is that why he never says anything new, and instead just re-words ideas from other people?” 

“Is… is he consciously doing this?”

The Soldier We’ll Love

Because of what I've seen, and in spite of the fact that a handful of my friends have told me that they don't like Krishan either, I trust that he will come around to accepting that DID is real, that he was wrong to call me a delusional faker. I estimate it'll probably happen right after Pew reports that most Democrats think it's real, and right after I become respected by his close circle.

In time, Krishan will rise through the ranks of the political establishment, praised for his moderate, sensible ideas. Future historians may celebrate his willingness to change his views as society progresses. This much is likely, as he will spend his career carefully scrolling through pollings of Democratic voters, adjusting his opinions to whatever the lot of them say. 

Luckily for us, we plurals can work with this arrangement. Some progress is being made with putting plural acceptance in the mainstream; once we convince enough people in these circles that plurality is real, the cause will be blessed with center-left coding and Krishan will adjust his language like a good, loyal follower.

He may be despicable towards any social justice that lies outside the comforting womb of the center-left, but he's still really good at fighting for the center-left. And in time, all his hate speech towards my people will be forgiven, because he'll be a senator voting for a bill that adds DID to the ADA's protected disabilities list. 

The Soldier That Could Be

Of course, this is all contingent on the median voter getting better, not worse over time. We are not at the end of history, and the whims of destiny could make the average American much more bigoted and hateful, dragging Krishan along. We must keep in mind that this man is more of a double-edged sword than a person who thinks for themself - he has essentially chosen to emulate, channel, and promote whatever is believed by people slightly to the left of the average American.

For example: If World War III begins, and we fight some foreign government - a surge of xenophobia and jingoism will rise, leading to a popular policy involving some sort of internment of recent immigrants. Krishan would likely support throwing those barely-Americans into camps, but will have the grace to not use any slurs.

In Conclusion 

Krishan Patel will never be a great man of history, leading the people. Instead, he will represent a big chunk of the people, no matter where they go. In a way, he is a perfect model of a politician in a Democratic system, because his mission, consciously or not, is to reflect the will of many people, however good or bad it may be. 

Krishan Patel need not be hated or feared whenever he spews bigotry, because it is not him doing it. What he says is whatever the center-left believes, making him nothing more than a walking, breathing aggregation of some of the USian people’s opinions. 

Krishan Patel, bless his heart, may be a hollow shell of a human being. But if things go right he could become our hollow shell of a human being.

I think I said something like, “Illegal immigration is good and we should give illegal immigrants amnesty.”

And you said something along the lines of,

• “Do you welcome people who break into your home? Illegal immigrants are ‘breaking into’ this country.”

• “If 10 homeless people start squatting at your abode tomorrow, are you going to go along with that?”

First off, I just want to say that I’m truly sorry if your own house was broken into in the past. I assume it’s a single-family home, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

My grandparents’ house was robbed many times. Safewise says:

The trauma of home invasion is more about losing your sense of privacy and safety than it is about losing your stuff. After a home invasion or burglary, you may feel anxious, angry, and violated.

Safewise continues, “But it doesn't have to be like this forever.”

The mommy blog is right. It doesn’t have to be like this forever.

I know you’re scared. Maybe when those people broke into your house, you imagined a bunch of brown strangers taking your prized possessions.

It’s good to remember:

1. Strangers are people.

2. Some people do bad things.

3. Most people are good.

You probably you think you can’t trust any foreigner ever again. So here are some examples of foreigners you might like.

You’re probably tempted to try to make yourself super safe so that nobody can hurt you ever again, so you’re going to treat the entire country as your house. And you don’t want anyone entering your country without your permission.

But let’s remember here, US citizens can also break into your home,

But you probably don’t want to make it illegal for Floridans to enter your state without permission. I mean, does this make sense to you?

Oh man, where do you live? I bet you live in a place where there’s also some scary people. There’s a lot of good people there too. It would really suck if someone got scared of where you come from, right?

Like, what if the government saw all the scary people from your state and said, “we should enforce the borders and require screening before you can go to another state”?

Oh man, what if you have loved ones who live somewhere else?

Of course you can cross the immigration line and visit your loved ones! Just wait your turn!

Just make sure you get your immigration status approved!

You could also just, skip the whole line.

But hey, you only believe in legal immigration, right?

So I tell them that I don’t want to have too much money, that I want to give away money sooner rather than later. If I have $150,000, I have around $50,000 to give away, and I want to give it away sooner rather than later. My loved ones have, in good-faith, debated this point with me:

"But you can give *more* if you let your pile of money build up!”

The Rockefeller Scenario

So obviously, yeah. If you have $100, and you put it into the stock market for 21 years, you’ll probably have around $800 to give to poor people. Eight dollars is more than one dollar! Let’s give this a nice name, like the “Rockefeller Scenario”, because that’s kind of what most rich people do.

The Singer Scenario

But let’s talk about what happens to that $100 if I give it away now! Like, the general idea is that, you give a poor person that $100, that money grows faster than in the Rockefeller Scenario. Peter Singer kind of does this, where he gives away money sooner rather than later. So we’ll call this the Singer Scenario. I think his net worth is under like, $100k.

They can do a few different things with that money. Maybe they have ADHD, and don’t have access to Adderall. So in lieu of that, they spend that $100 on a few grams of methamphetamine, and it’s enough to last them about a year. It helps them function like a “normal” person. You know, when a neurotypical person takes amphetamines, things kind of speed up for them. But when a person with ADHD takes the correct dose, the noise in the mind goes quiet and they’re able to focus on work. Otherwise, trying to work without any medication is kind of like being sleep-deprived and tired all the time.

So they make more money with that $100. If they didn’t have that $100, they’d probably be making less money.

At the end of the year, you tell them, “Hey, remember the nice thing I did for you and how it helped you? I don’t want the money back, but I want to say that there are other people who were in the same situation as you. Why don’t you try paying it forward?”

Ideally, they repeat this good cycle. Hopefully, you end up with a future that looks something like this:

The Time Machine Scenario

The scenario the reader chooses to go with - it depends on how much they think they can grow their money by. Like, if I found an opportunity where I could double my money in one day, and I was 100% certain that it was guaranteed, of course I wouldn’t give the money away before placing that bet.

Let’s say I woke up one day in December 2019, I’d be like, “Oh wow! I know exactly what’s going to happen to the stock market on March 25, 2020. I know exactly what’s going to happen to oil prices in the next four months! I have the chance to multiply my money by 100!”

In some circles they call this a hundred-bagger!

More Money, Less Growth

So, generally speaking, it’s harder to find hundred-baggers and ten-baggers for bigger sums of money. You can probably some opportunities to turn that $10,000 into $100,000 in a short timeframe. But if you have $1,000,000, it’s a lot harder to find ways to turn that into $10,000,000 in the same timeframe.
